Twenty years ago, John Lasseter teamed up with Ed Catmull and Steve Jobs to found an animation studio, which they named "Pixar." The studio made a series of short films before producing the first completely computer animated film in history. Since then, they've had tremedous success, producing one wonderful movie after the other.
Ah, it's good to be obsessed! In honor of Pixar's 20th Anniversary, I've put together a little tribute to them. At first I thought I was crazy for trying to fit so many characters in here, but it actually ended up looking just how I wanted it to. Originally, I had more characters from the short films, but in the end, the birds were all I was able to fit in.
This is quite possibly the best coloring job I've ever done. I'm especially happy with Dory, Sulley, Mater and Sally. Overall, it was a lot of fun to work on.
Happy 20th, Pixar!
Here's to 20 more!
All characters seen here belong to the amazing people at Pixar.
